Herald-Dispatch launches new mobile app

Herald-Dispatch mobile appHUNTINGTON, W.Va. — There is now a version of The Herald-Dispatch that is updated throughout the day and easily fits in the palm of one’s hand.

The new Herald-Dispatch app launched Monday and allows readers to stay up-to-date on news, weather, sports and obituaries; find local deals for shopping, eating and entertainment; and get breaking news sent to a mobile device.

“The new mobile app provides readers on-the-go with another way to keep up with the great local coverage our news staff provides,” said Ed Dawson, The Herald-Dispatch editor and publisher. “And it gives our advertising partners an exciting new way to reach their customers.”

The redesigned app features an improved interface that allows for easier navigation and sharing on social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as simpler ways to email stories or send links via text message.
