Website Development

West Virginia Press Association, in partnership with PaywallProject, is working to help West Virginia newspapers generate new revenue from their websites through online subscriber growth,
increased social media presence, and digital advertising sales.

The project features PaywallProject’s WordPress website and WV Press’ news sharing service, social media boost and digital advertising network.

The partnership allows for a coordinated system from start to finish that maximizes efficiency and online revenue for the newspaper.

“Spending less time to make more money is necessary today,” said Don Smith, executive director of
WV Press. “This project allows a newspaper to have an attractive, functional and profitable online presence that produces its own growth and revenue.’

“We generated more than 100 new digital subscribers in 10 days with PaywallProject.”
