The West Virginia Press Association Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit public educational foundation which operates various educational programs, including college scholarships, continuing education for working journalists and support for college and high school journalism programs. The Foundation is governed by a five-member board of trustees, elected by the Association membership.
The West Virginia Press Association Foundation, Inc. annually accepts applications for possible scholarships for students in print journalism and other majors related to the newspaper industry. Scholarships may be awarded in the amounts of $500 to $2,500.

- Roy Owens Scholarship
