The West Virginia Press Association Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit public educational foundation which operates various educational programs, including college scholarships, continuing education for working journalists and support for college and high school journalism programs. The Foundation is governed by a five-member board of trustees, elected by the Association membership.

WVPAF provides paid and unpaid internships at West Virginia newspapers and college scholarships.

Programs are open to journalism majors and students in related fields such as business management, human resources, advertising, social media and marketing, with preference given to students in at least their sophomore year of college.
