CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — Gov. Jim Justice continued his effort to sell West Virginians on his plan to eliminate the state’s income tax during a virtual town hall Wednesday evening.
As with his virtual town hall on Monday afternoon, Justice started by explaining elements of his plan before fielding submitted question. State Revenue Secretary Dave Hardy also provided input.
Justice began mentioning his intention to eliminate the personal income tax shortly after his re-election in November and outlined the broad strokes of his plan during his 2021 State of the State Address.
