WVCA: History of standing up for coal industry, miners and their families secures endorsement
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Coal Association has officially endorsed Senator Bill Cole (R- Bluefield) for Governor of West Virginia.
“Senator Cole recognizes the important role West Virginia’s coal industry plays in keeping the state’s economy strong, and he has proven time and time again that he is willing to fight for not only the industry but West Virginia miners and their families,” Said Bill Raney, President of the West Virginia Coal Association. “That is why West Virginians for Coal endorses him for Governor.”
The West Virginia Coal Association is a trade association representing more than 90 percent of the state’s surface and underground coal mine production. Its purpose is to have a unified voice representing West Virginia’s coal industry and is dedicated to safeguarding, protecting and advancing the coal industry.
