Roush posts low golf score on Wendy’s Amateur Tour

FARMINGTON, Pa. — The Wendy’s Amateur Tour saw Trent Roush of Mason post the low round of the day by shooting a 75 in very difficult weather conditions Wednesday, April 30, at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Mystic Rock golf course.

Mystic Rock, the host of the PGA Tour’s 84 Lumber Classic for several years, was a test for all the players, according to tour officials. Craig Heinaman took home top honors in the net division by shooting a 73.

Caroline Ramsey of Bridgeport took home first place on the Women’s side by shooting a round of 80. Charleston’s Mary Payne was the winner on the net side with an impressive 66.

The Wendy’s Amateur Tour resumes on May 5 with another event in Pennsylvania at Rolling Hills Country Club, just outside of Pittsburgh. The following week the spring season wraps up on May 12 with an event at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane.
