“Miss Amazing — West Virginia” returning to Clarksburg to showcase young women and girls with disabilities

Press Release

Clarksburg, W.Va. – “Miss Amazing” is a national nonprofit organization that draws inspiration from pageantry to teach young women and girls with disabilities important self-advocacy skills.  In addition, the organization utilizes more than 30 day-long state events throughout the country to nurture sisterhood, increase visibility, and to open up pathways of leadership for all of the participants.

The “Miss Amazing — West Virginia” organization is proud to announce that the title sponsor for this year’s event is Rominger Dental and Dr. Jaclyn Rominger, DDS.

Girls and women from the age of 5 are permitted to enter their age category for the event. Participants arrive early on the day of the event to meet the other participants and to practice their interviews and passion performances (talent).  Each participant will receive a crown, trophy, and commemorative t-shirt.  A complete description of qualifying disabilities for contestants can be found at www.missamazing.org.

“Miss Amazing” events are designed to build confidence and self esteem in all of the participants.  Each participant is paired with a “Buddy Volunteer” from the local organization.  That “Buddy” will work with the participant throughout the day helping to prepare their contestant for the competition.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, at The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in downtown Clarksburg, “Miss Amazing – West Virginia” will host their 4th annual Amplify event for women and girls who are residents of the Mountain State.  “Miss Amazing” events are always fun and inspirational for the audience. The West Virginia event hosted at The Robinson Grand is considered one of the most exciting and well organized showcase events in the national circuit.

The Queens chosen from the Oct. 12 event will represent West Virginia at the national “2025 Miss Amazing” event held in Chicago next summer.

The West Virginia Amplify event at The Robinson Grant will begin at 3pm. Doors to The Robinson Grand will open at 2 p.m. for the general public.

Cost to attend the event is just $10 per person.  All proceeds from the event go to support the “Miss Amazing” organization.

In addition to Rominger Dental as the title sponsor, this year’s event has been made possible with generous donations from Mon Health; Cava & Banko, CPAs; East of Chicago Pizza with locations in Shinnston, Bridgeport, and Salem; and the McNeely Realty Group.

The volunteer board at “Miss Amazing — West Virginia” would like to extend an open invitation to residents throughout the state to attend the event on Oct. 12.  Attendance by a live audience is important to achieving the goals and objectives of the organization’s mission.

MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA are welcome also encouraged to attend the event.  Special interview times can be set up in order to accommodate the busy schedules of the reporters.  Interviews with the “Miss Amazing – West Virginia” board prior to the event in order to help encourage audience participation are also appreciated.
