OAK HILL, W.Va. — The first commercial whitewater rafting trip of spring 2015 on the New River has been scheduled for Thursday, March 12, though because of high water fed by recent heavy snows officials at ACE Adventure Resort are not yet sure of its departure time. The trip is expected to end at the Fayette Station take-out
under the New River Gorge Bridge near Fayetteville.Lori Kilgore, of Madisonville, La., near New Orleans and Baton Rouge, made the arrangement for a youth group, members of which decided to forgo a trip to Boston with classmates in favor of an adventure on the river. The group will also lodge at the resort and participate in hiking, zip-lining, and paint-balling activities and a bridge walk in
