Obituary: Dallas ‘Skeet’ E. Cripe

Father of Kelly Stadelman passes in Indiana

MILFORD, Ind. — Dallas “Skeet” E. Cripe, 81, of Milford, died at his home Sunday, June 5, 2016.

He was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Goshen to Ray and Minnie (Smith) Cripe.

On May 20, 1961, he married Frances Lambright at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen.

She survives along with three children, Kelly (Chris) Stadelman of Charleston, W.Va., Gary (Shayne) Cripe of Middlebury and Roger Cripe of Goshen; three grandsons, Seth, Caleb and Aaron Cripe; and a sister, Peggy Conn of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard “Dick” Cripe.

A lifetime area resident, Skeet graduated from Goshen High School in 1953 and served with the U.S. Army.  He was member of the V.F.W. Post #985.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, trap shooting and spending time with family and friends.

He worked for Adams West Lake, Elkhart for 30 years.  He also worked at Ivy Terrace and retired from Smoker Craft in 1997.

Friends called Wednesday, June 8, 2016, for two hours prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Scott D. Miller, Pathway Assembly of God Church, Middlebury and Pastor Susan Martin, St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen, officiated.

Burial, with military honors, followed in Violett Cemetery.
