Join a free beginner-friendly webinar for researching historic properties hosted by WV State Archives, History and Historic Preservation

CHARLESTON — West Virginia Archives & History (WVAH) and West Virginia State Historic Office (WV SHPO) are offering an educational webinar titled “Research Tools for Historic Homes: Your DIY Toolkit.” Enhance your efforts to learn more about the historic places within your community, even your own home! This webinar will cover topics including formulating research questions, tips and tricks about the research process, as well as the types of resources available to researchers and where to find them. Join the WVAH and WV SHPO on January 22, 2026, at 6 pm.

This webinar is free and beginner-friendly! An hour in length, it aims to build a foundation for attendees to conduct independent research. By the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to access resources and expand their appreciation of history.
