FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Misty Poe, the general manager/editor of the Times West Virginian, announces that Teresa Dye has been named advertising sales manager for the newspaper.
In her new role, Dye will be supervising the team of advertising sales representatives and support staff to ensure advertisers can get their message out to customers on multiple platforms, including the printed newspaper, website, magazine and several specialty publications.
Dye is originally from Princeton and a graduate of Bluefield High School. She most recently worked at the Bluefield Daily Telegraph as a sales account manager. She also served as classified sales manager there for seven years.
Dye started with the Bluefield newspaper in 1987 and worked in several roles there, including editorial, production, classified and the advertising department.
Bluefield is a sister paper of the Times West Virginian, owned by parent company Community Newspaper Hold-ings Inc.
Dye and her husband J.W. have two daughters, Casey and Courtney, and enjoy spending quality family time traveling and visiting scenic parks throughout the state.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of serving our advertisers and clients by providing them with the best in customer service while also giving them a multimedia platform to help them grow their businesses,” Dye said. “In the three months I’ve been in Fairmont, I’ve realized that there is a loyal staff dedicated to providing a quality product to our advertisers and readers on a daily basis, and I’m proud to be a part of this team.”
“I really appreciate the experience and expertise Teresa brings to our advertising department, and working closely together we’ve already made a great deal of progress toward short-term goals and long-term planning,” Poe said. “Working with Teresa is truly a pleasure, and I know members of the business community will appreciate working with her, too.”
