PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — As of February 2024, Coplin Health Systems is currently providing a free pharmacy delivery service to enhance patient care for residents of Wood County.
All medications prescribed by Coplin Health Systems providers are available through the new at-home pharmacy delivery program. The cost of prescriptions will remain the same, with no additional fees added for the delivery service.
“Coplin Health Systems is excited to be able to provide this important healthcare service for our patients in Wood County,” said Rob Dudley, CEO. “Transportation barriers and other challenges can prevent people from assessing the medicine they need. This new pharmacy delivery program will ensure our patients get their medications when needed.”
Patients interested in participating in the free pharmacy delivery program can find out more by calling the Parkersburg Family Care Pharmacy (Camden Avenue location) at 304-917-3739. Delivery time will vary depending on the time of day the order is placed and the status of the prescription. Most patients can expect prescriptions to be delivered within 48 hours.
Coplin Health Systems’ pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are always happy to answer questions and provide information on an order for their patients. Orders must be signed for by the patient or patient representative when delivered.
“This new service benefits busy individuals and families as well as people who may not be able to easily leave their home,” said Scott Price, pharmacy director. “It’s also a great way for patients to ensure they don’t miss a dose. When it’s time for a refill, patients no longer need to worry about finding the time or transportation to and from the pharmacy. We will deliver their medication to them wherever it is most convenient.”
