MILTON, W.Va. — This Friday, the auction for our 2025 West Virginia commemorative piece, Full Steam Ahead, officially begins—and with only 162 pieces available, we expect bidding to be fierce.
Crafted in rich cobalt blue with a striking smoke-inspired stopper, Full Steam Ahead honors the steam engines that shaped Appalachia and the enduring artistry of Blenko glassmaking.
Each piece is:
Inspired by the Cass Scenic Railroad #2 engine Individually numbered and signed by John Blenko and Ashley Boggs Limited to just 162 total pieces About 18″ tall with unique stopper shapes and hand-crafted variation

Auction Details & Bidding Guidelines
- Opens: Friday, June 20 at 9 AM
- Closes: Friday, June 27, with each auction ending 5 minutes apart
- You can place a manual bid or an auto bid set at the highest you are willing to bid.
- You’ll receive an email notification if you’re outbid
- Winning bidders will receive an email notification shortly after the auction ends. Please note that this is a manual process, not automated. Thank you for your patience as we work through the confirmations.
- Please track your bids closely, do not rely only on notifications
- Only bid on what you’re prepared to pay for
- If you win multiple items, you are required to pay for all; failure to do so will result in loss of all pieces, and you may be banned from future Blenko purchases.
