MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — For the second time this semester, the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity was cited by the city fire marshal after having about four times the allotted number of people in its party room and obstructing fire devices during a paint party.
Fire officials early Saturday, April 11, recorded 668 people inside the social room of the house, at 672 N. High St. Between 75-100 people were also recorded outside.
Capt. Ken Tennant said the room’s capacity, based on city fire code, is 168.
Fraternity President Marco Colosi, 21, of Lancaster, Pa., was issued the citation, along with two others: Failure to comply with an evacuation order, and obstructing a fire protection device.
Colosi is listed in the WVU directory as being a student in the College of Business and Economics.
