FAIRLEA — Lance Brooks worries one day in the not so distant future, the artistry behind the hobby he began in the woods nearly 40 years ago and has parlayed into a small business will simply disappear.
“There aren’t many of us left out there,” he said.
Brooks, of Glen Daniel, is a wood carver.
Using various types of wood, gouges, knives and, most importantly, his imagination, Brooks carves caricatures, full-size busts, magnets, ornaments and just about anything else he dreams up.
“I can do just about anything…
