CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The long-awaited splash pad at Magic Island is making its debut Thursday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the new water feature at 11 a.m., and it will be activated thereafter, weather permitting.
Children and families are welcome to enjoy the pad once it’s activated.
Last week, local artist Rob Cleland was painting the finishing touches on the pad, City Engineer Chris Knox said.
