BLUEFIELD — The West Virginia Supreme Court has confirmed that the satellite magistrate offices in Bluefield must be closed by January 2017.
Steve Canterbury, administrative director of the state Supreme Court, said the decision was made in 2010 to close all satellite magistrate offices around the state.
“The court decided the satellite offices are a relic of the past and are no longer needed,” he said, adding that since 2010 almost all have been closed.
