
The Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District revealed 15 new Little Free Libraries on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, which will be installed at park district properties from Milton to West Huntington.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — No matter in which park you may roam in the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District you can take a new journey into the Hundred Acre Wood and beyond.
Fifteen new Little Free Library units – each painted by artist Alice Hall in whimsical children’s storybook themes – are being placed throughout Cabell County and Huntington’s park system.
On Tuesday, Park District staff members gathered at Ritter Park’s island playground to place the first one, a light blue school-house designed library with a “Cat in the Hat” painting.
There will be two placed at Ritter Park, the region’s busiest park, and the others will be placed at the Park District’s neighborhood parks…
