BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — While a network carrier airline decided not to submit a bid for air service at North Central West Virginia Regional Airport at this time, officials did receive six EAS proposals.
The Benedum Airport Authority was briefed Wednesday on the multiple bids received for Essential Air Service, which is subsidized by the Department of Transportation for small rural airports.
Silver Airways’ current contract for Clarksburg expires Sept. 30. However, Silver Airlines is one of six airlines that bid on the new two-year service.
