CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Senate Democrats promised retaliation Wednesday after the Republican-led Committee on Confirmations axed half a dozen gubernatorial nominees for various state boards, including PEIA.
Senate Minority Leader Jeff Kessler, D-Marshall, said the people who were not confirmed had “served with distinction,” but there was a common theme.
“They’re all Democrats and labor supporters who maybe have not been supporters of the new leadership,” Kessler said.
