
CSX is consolidating its administrative operations from 10 divisions to nine and closing administrative offices at Huntington, according to a press release posted on the company’s website.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – CSX will close its administrative offices in the Huntington Division, the transportation company announced Monday, affecting 121 jobs.
The 400 employees at CSX’s locomotive shop and 60 employees at the company’s railroad yard will not be affected, company spokeswoman Melanie Cost said.
The administrative employees will be given the option to be reassigned to one of five other divisions after the company completes a consolidation of some of its regional offices, Cost said.
