BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — North Central West Virginia Airport will offer direct flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, starting in June.
Beginning June 5 and running through Aug. 17, passengers will be able to fly directly to Myrtle Beach on Fridays and Mondays. The flights will be offered by Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air, the same airline that has offered direct flights out of Bridgeport to Orlando-Sanford (Florida) International Airport since 2013.
Airport officials and representatives from Allegiant plan to announce the seasonal flights to the popular vacation destination during a special event at 11 a.m. today at the airport terminal in Bridgeport.
The local announcement is one of 22 similar announcements Allegiant will be making regarding its flight offerings company-wide in what the airliner is calling “a large expansion.”
