BECKLEY, W.Va. — Independence High School junior Landon Buckland has achieved what few can.
The 17-year-old from Beckley received a perfect score on his SAT, something even Bill Gates found himself just 10 points shy of achieving.
Buckland said he felt confident about his score, but was surprised and ecstatic to get a perfect score.
The College Board reported that only 360 — .02 percent — of the 1.66 million seniors who took the SAT in 2012 got a perfect score.
