BECKLEY, W.Va. — More Raleigh Heart Clinic patients have tested positive for hepatitis C, leading the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Public Health to expand patient notification for persons who may have received a stress test at the Beckley clinic.
On March 11, 2016, the Bureau for Public Health issued 2,311 notifications to patients of Raleigh Heart Clinic who received stress tests when injectable medications were administered between March 1, 2012, and March 27, 2015.
They are now notifying patients who underwent testing before March 1, 2012, and a total of 16 patients with hepatitis may be linked to the clinic.
