BECKLEY, W.Va. — The sounds, tastes and workmanship of the Mountain State were on proud display at Tamarack Monday as “The Best of West Virginia” celebrated 20 years and West Virginia’s 153rd birthday.
Dorothy Tabb of Visit Southern West Virginia said that she had seen some locals come in for the day’s celebrations but otherwise, the facility was seeing its normal check-ins from travelers.
“Although traffic has been a bit busier than normal for a Monday,” Tabb said.
For 20 years Tamarack has been offering some of West Virginia’s premier products from native crafters.
