Enrollment up 2 percent at Fairmont State

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Enrollment at Fairmont State University is up this school year.

At the board of governors meeting Thursday, FSU’s vice president of student services Timothy Oxley presented preliminary enrollment information for the 2016-17 school year.

The head-count enrollment is 4,069 for 2016-17. That is an increase of 85 students from last year, which is a 2 percent increase, Oxley told the board.
