FAIRMONT, W.Va. — With fall and winter sports having reached their finality and spring sports set to follow in the next two months, West Virginia players, coaches and administrators are already looking ahead to the 2025-26 slate of sports.
Earlier this week, after months of heavy conversations and uncertainty, the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission Board of Control accepted and approved a proposal that would once again shift the realignment in terms of classifications for high school sports, which will now be based on total student enrollment within each school across the state.
