WV Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry requests new criminal trial after conviction on 11 charges

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  — Allen Loughry, the suspended justice of the state Supreme Court of Appeals, is asking a federal court to grant him a new criminal trial.

A jury of 10 women and two men found Loughry guilty earlier this month of 11 federal crimes, including wire and mail fraud.

Loughry filed a motion Friday requesting a new trial, but the motion was sealed.
