WV State Agency vehicle auction set for Dec. 6

DUNBAR, W.Va. — The West Virginia Purchasing Division announced Monday that The West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property will hold an auction of used state vehicles on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at 2700 Charles Ave. in Dunbar. Gates to the auction site will open at 8:30 a.m., with the auction beginning at 10 a.m.

Among the vehicles scheduled to be sold are a 2012 GMC Canyon, 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2010 Ford Explorer, 2008 GMC Savana and 2006 Dodge Dakota. Approximately 45 vehicles will be up for auction.

Potential bidders may inspect the vehicles between now and Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Dunbar location. Payment on the day of the auction may be made by cash, check or by credit card using Visa, MasterCard or Discover. All property is subject to prior sale and is sold in “as is, where is” condition. All vehicles must be removed from state premises within five business days from the auction.

The State Agency for Surplus Property also is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding state holidays. The general public is welcome to visit and purchase merchandise from the lot or warehouses.

Various types of property are available, such as office furniture, kitchen equipment, tools, heavy equipment, and vehicles. All direct sale items are marked and prices are non-negotiable. Items are sold “as is” with no warranties included.
