WV House Democrats delay passage of budget

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  – The West Virginia Legislature got one step closer to passing a budget Friday night, with the House of Delegates wrapping its budget into the Senate’s.

The House moved to suspend constitutional rules Friday night in order to advance the bill to third reading, but the motion failed along party lines.

Finance chairman Del. Eric Nelson, R-Kanawha, said the failed motion was disappointing. …
