CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Department of Agriculture’s Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program is providing the state’s senior citizens with access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eligible senior citizens (at least 60 years of age and meeting income guidelines) can receive vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables. The vouchers can be redeemed at participating farmers markets and farm stands throughout the state.Vouchers are available at each county senior center, and are on a first come first serve basis.
