BECKLEY, W.Va. — Several events will take place across the state this weekend marking the one-year anniversary President Donald Trump’s inauguration and the historic Women’s Marches.
The Women’s March was a day of protest by over 5 million people in over 600 cities around the world, including 2,000 people from Charleston.
Saturday. three events will take place in Beckley and Charleston, with a fourth set for Sunday in Morgantown.
First, the official West Virginia Women’s March anniversary event, It’s Our Time Rally, will be held at Shoemaker Square, 115 Prince St. Beckley, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
West Virginia Women’s March, West Virginia Citizen Action Group, Summers County Huddle, Greenbrier Valley Women for Fairness/Indivisible, and Women of the Bluefields are co-sponsors of the event.
