WHEELING, W.Va. — City council this week voted to formally ask Uber to consider launching operations in Wheeling, but it looks like Friendly City residents will have to wait to take advantage of the ridesharing service for the time being.
Although optimistic about future expansion, a spokesperson for the company said Uber isn’t yet in a position to adopt additional markets in West Virginia, beyond current commitments in Charleston and Morgantown.
