MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University’s Board of Governors have narrowed the field of candidates to replace Dr. E. Gordon Gee as president of the state’s largest university.
Board Chair Richard Pill has said that the Board chose to keep the initial list of preferred candidates confidential until it is further narrowed.
The Board met for about four hours on Friday in closed session to select the candidates who will move onto the next stage.
West Virginia University Board of Governors Vice-Chair and Presidential Search Committee Chair Dr. Patrice Harris submitted the following letter to the WVU community today (Jan. 31) after a special BOG meeting.
