West Virginia bakeries serving up sweet treats for National Doughnut Day

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia bakeries are often known for their twist on the pepperoni roll, but Friday, it will be all about about another small and tasty snack — doughnuts.

National Doughnut Day is, perhaps, one of the sweetest days of the year. Several bakeries around the country will celebrate with sprinkles and specials.

Glazed, jelly-filled and coated in sugar, there is no real way to go wrong with the fried dough confection.

Though it may not be the perfect baker’s dozen, we’ve compiled a list of Mountain State bakeries with their own special spin on the sweet snack.
