MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins says the Eastern Panhandle would be an eligible candidate for any federal money earmarked from President Donald Trump’s infrastructure plan, which could exceed $1.5 trillion.
“As go the roads, so goes the jobs,” said Jenkins, R-W.Va., who toured the Argos cement plant in Martinsburg Wednesday. “The Eastern Panhandle is special — it’s unique. We need to be conscious of the unique nature of transportation needs, the growth, the things that are happening here in the Panhandle.”
Jenkins, who represents the state’s 3rd Congressional District, is running for the U.S. Senate seat held by U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.
