WHEELNG, W.Va. — Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is coming to Wheeling next week.
Robert E. Murray, chairman, president and CEO of Murray Energy, will host a private fundraising event for Trump slated for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at WesBanco Arena, according to Murray Energy spokesman Gary Broadbent. Like other recent political fundraisers organized by Murray, the event will not be open to the public or the media.
“Attendance at the event is by invitation only,” Broadbent said. “Again, this event is organized by Mr. Murray, personally, and therefore Murray Energy Corporation has no further comment on it.”
But local officials hinted there could be additional public events…
