BECKLEY, W.Va. — AmeriCorps toed the starting line with the fledgling Active Southern West Virginia organization a decade ago.
The volunteer service agency has been there ever since as Active SWV has continued to expand its range of healthy living programs throughout the region.
Now, the ASWV executive director, Melanie Seller, is among the many who are concerned with the future of the various segments of AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism.
