FAIRMONT, W.Va.  — State Senator Bob Beach, D-13, filed to run for re-election on Tuesday, and said he wants to continue working for his district.

Beach is the senator for District 13, which encompasses parts of Marion and Monongalia counties.

He has been the district’s senator since 2011, and was a House delegate before that.

“I’ve enjoyed the process and I’ve enjoyed working for the people of West Virginia, particularly my district,” Beach said. “I believe I’ve accomplished a lot and I would like to keep it going.”

He said he wanted to continue to stick to the positions his constituents are opposed to, including the prevailing wage debate, right-to-work, stream water quality and legislation impacting miner’s safety.
