Secretary of State: Power outages do not close W.Va. voting precincts

CHARLESTON —According to a release from Secretary of State Mac Warner, handful of power outages have been reported prior to the 6:30 a.m. kick-off of the General Election. This does not close voting precincts.

It is important for voters to know that a power outage does not permanently close any of the 1,759 precinct.

Warner has a command center set up at the State Capitol to assist county clerks with these types of issues.
