FAIRMONT, W.Va.  — Jack Oliver filed candidacy on Monday to represent the 50th district and Marion County in the West Virginia House of Delegates. He is running as a Democrat.

Oliver has spent 50 years in business working as a certified public accountant to many individuals and businesses in Marion and Monongalia counties, which said he believes qualifies him for the position.

“I’m good at troubleshooting, and we have a lot of troubles in our government that need solved,” Oliver said.

Oliver said the state’s finances and Marion County’s finances need to be addressed and balanced.

“I’ve been helping businesses solve problems in this area for 50 years, and all of the problems that we face now in our state and in our country can be solved by the same logic and same problem solving techniques,” Oliver said.
