MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — As overdose deaths increase in West Virginia, so has the number of fatalities from multiple drug “cocktails,” according to “West Virginia Drug Overdose Deaths Historical Overview” released by the Bureau of Public Health, a division of West Virginia’s Department of Health and Human Resources.
The report was released earlier this year.
As the state’s drug overdose death count has steadily risen in the past 15 years, so has the number of deaths caused by a multiple drug mix.
