Marion County legislators discuss end to West Virginia teacher walkout

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  – On Tuesday afternoon, West Virginia legislation approved a budget dedicating a 5 percent pay raise to all state public employees in July.

School employees from around the state were present as Governor Jim Justice signed the Senate-approved bill giving it the final approval, erupting into roaring cheers heard throughout the capitol, according to those in attendance.

Local legislators who have been present throughout gave their comments on the end of what was a divisive, but successful legislative session.
