CHARLESTON, W.Va.
— A bill to make the medical marijuana bill more lucrative for businesses has passed the West Virginia House of Delegates.
West Virginia’s medical marijuana law passed in 2017. It was scheduled to begin in July of 2019 but is running behind schedule.
Wednesday morning, by a significant majority, delegates voted for House Bill 2079, sponsored by Del. Mike Pushkin, D-Kanawha. It now goes to the state Senate.
