Main Street’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration has become a tradition for many

MARTINSBURG – Main Street Martinsburg’s fourth annual Saint Patrick’s Day celebration closed down several streets and brought thousands of people to Queen Street Saturday to enjoy Irish music, themed-food and drinks.

The event featured over 30 vendors, nearly 20 food trucks and several taps from local alcohol distributors. Several Queen Street-based businesses, such as Westwood Boutique, also welcomed visitors for an open house.

Music from several local bands, including Stellar Ride, Pilgrims of the Deep Run and Gaelic Mishap, filled the streets from the city’s newly installed speaker system. While Pilgrims of the Deep Run and Gaelic Mishap are new faces for the festival, Stellar Ride has been a staple of Martinsburg’s music scene for years now, playing at events like this one and as part of the Toni Saylor Summer Series.
