CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia state Christmas tree twinkles with lights outside the Capitol Building in Charleston after Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and first lady Joanne Tomblin lit it Tuesday evening at the annual Joyful Night celebration. The tree is a Norway spruce donated by Brenda and David Hanson, of Winfield. Bands and choirs from area schools performed during the evening.
