CLAY, W.Va. — Jimbo Fisher’s reason for being at Clay County High School on Wednesday afternoon was a simple one.
“It’s the right thing to do,” said the Clarksburg native and head football coach at Florida State in his opening remarks during a presentation to provide assistance to football programs affected by the floods three week ago.
“My Dad had a saying about being real people. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from but if somebody needs help, then you help them. That’s what real people do. That’s what good people do. Being a good person, this is what this whole drive is about.”
