Dynamic, sales-oriented circulation director needed
ELKINS, W.Va. — The Inter-Mountain, an award-winning daily newspaper in the heart of the state’s tourism district, seeks a circulation director to manage operations within the newspaper’s diverse and vast eight-county delivery territory in north central West Virginia.
This is an executive position at the department-head level, and newspaper industry experience is vital to this role. Direct knowledge of circulation, ABC book and audit guidelines are a plus, along with strong communication, organization and extensive computer/spreadsheet skills. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
From its main office in Elkins, The Inter-Mountain boasts scenic views of the state’s picturesque mountains. The paper — which won Newspaper of the Year in 2014 in the West Virginia Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest — is nestled in a quaint downtown district. It’s just steps away from the nationally known American Mountain Theater and Elkins Train Depot, home of the Polar Express Train Ride.
