MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Late WVU student Carly Grozier is described by her brother, Kenneth Grozier, as a “fighter” who always sought to protect others.
“Carly was a fighter, and she wasn’t just a fighter for herself,” he said. “She was a fighter for anyone that she felt needed to be protected, anyone that she felt was disenfranchised, anyone that she felt needed protection. She would be there for that person.”
Following her death last winter, Carly Grozier’s family is working to establish Carly’s Cause, a nonprofit organization, to honor their late daughter by protecting other families from off-campus housing deaths and tragedies.
