HAMLIN, W.Va. — A packed courtroom saw the special session of the Lincoln County Commission’s meeting over the possible dissolution and sale of the Lincoln PSD assets to WV American Water on Thursday, Jan. 30.
WV American Water representatives provided a video presentation to the public showing Lincoln PSD’s area coverage. The acquisition would be a $12.9 million dollar purchase, eliminating a $5.2 million dollar debt that would be repaid by WV American Water. Proceeds of the sale would be $7.7 million that would be returned to Lincoln County.
WV American water plans $21 million dollars in improvements to the system in the first five years with a total investment of $35 million dollars in the Lincoln County’s water service.
